Dear members of the commity!

I am the head of the National Council of Women of Ukraine and I want to inform about the extremely difficult situation in which Ukrainians found themselves due to the military aggression of Russia. And one of the most important problems is the problem of water supply and drinking water.

 Due to the consequences of Russian aggression, almost 1.5 million Ukrainians were left without access to tap water, and more than 4.5 million were at risk of losing water supply. These are result from international organizations.

Terrorists are also destroying our sewage treatment plants. There was a sewage treatment plant near my district, which was bombed and the sewage flows directly into the Dnipro. Epidemics of infectious diseases are possible, which is especially dangerous for children.

A large number of equipment, shells, missiles and bombed oil depots pollute the earth with oil products, salts of heavy metals and disrupt the structure of the soil, thereby contaminating groundwater. It can already cross our borders and pollute the oceans.

Water is also a weapon - when dams are destroyed, fields and villages are flooded.

The world must stop terror against Ukraine.
